Women’s Health Q&A

Joshua tailors treatment plans using a concierge medicine style approach. He provides superior care and continuous access to his care for an affordable monthly membership fee.

What are examples of women’s health conditions?

Women may face unique healthcare challenges, such as:

  • Heart disease
  • Diabetes
  • Obesity
  • Gynecological conditions
  • Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs)
  • Heavy or irregular menstrual bleeding
  • Infertility
  • Hot flashes and other menopause symptoms
  • Breast, cervical, ovarian, or vaginal cancers
  • Thyroid disorders and other hormone imbalances
  • Osteoporosis

  • Depression, anxiety, and other mental health conditions

Joshua offers annual physicals for women to help detect potential problems before they become severe.

What can I expect during women’s health care visits?

Your women’s health care appointment often begins with a discussion of your medical history, medications, lifestyle, and symptoms. Joshua checks your blood pressure and other vital signs and completes a physical exam. He offers breast exams to screen for breast cancer, and pelvic exams and Pap smears to screen for cervical cancer and gynecological concerns.

You might need hormone testing (blood tests), urine testing, heart function tests, a mammogram, an ultrasound, or other imaging procedures to screen for women’s health problems and determine if you’re a candidate for treatment. Clinical-grade SECA mBCA Ultra and Styku 3-D body scans can help evaluate lean versus fat mass to assess your body composition, determine disease risks, and track your results over time.

Which women’s health treatments are available?

If you’re a candidate for treatment, Joshua may suggest one or more of the following:

  • Medically supervised weight loss
  • Lifestyle modifications
  • Chronic disease management
  • Medication management
  • STD treatments
  • Hormone replacement therapy (HRT)
  • Birth control
  • Vaccinations
  • Dietary supplements
  • Mental health treatments
  • Exosomes
  • Platelet-rich plasma (PRP)
  • Peptide therapy
  • Intravenous (IV) infusions

If you’re feeling under the weather, urgent care for acute illnesses and injuries is available.

Peakform Wellness PLLC also offers cosmetic options like fillers, Botox ®, microneedling, hair loss treatments, and more to boost confidence.
